First, I had two quilts accepted into Houston. Samson and Delilah and Petit Plume are hanging proudly. Although they didn't win a prize I'm extremely thrilled to have not one but two quilts hanging in the show! For those who don't know, Houston is the World's Fair of the quilt world. Just to have a quilt accepted into the show is a great honor.
Also, I have been working on some new classes and am ready to hit the ground teaching! They are very exciting and can't wait to share them with you.
The weekend of October 2-4 I worked in the Cherry Berry Quilts booth demoing the Baby Lock Tiara II. I just love Baby Lock machines. They are so well made, quiet, and sew like a dream. I love them so much we bought three machines in a month! I bought a Crescendo, a Tiara II, and the Enterprise (the big mama embroidery machine). Can the Crown Jewel (long arm) be far behind? I also bought a Koala sewing chair. This chair is amazing! It's like a recliner for sewing. I usually sew for hours on end and when I'm finished, I have no pain in my legs or back and feel like I could go on for hours more!
That just about does it for now. I'll be leaving for Houston on Oct. 28 and can't wait to tell you about the new and exciting things I find! I'll be working at Meander Publishing, booth number 202/204. If you get a chance, please stop by and say hello!
Until next time, Happy Stitching!
